At this APN General Meeting we will be voting on 2 new Board Members.

We will also be hearing important new data from the United Way of Northern NJ on the working poor in our state, in advance of the release of their new ALICE report on October 29th. Don't miss this presentation!

You can learn more below about the 2 incredible people who would like to be part of APN leadership helping us to prevent, reduce, and end poverty in New Jersey.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, September 26th!

    Lisa Stockdale

Lisa is the Director of Community Outreach and on the Board of Directors at Faith Fellowship Outreach Ministries in Toms River. Each month they prepare and deliver over 250 meals to the homeless in Ocean County, more specifically, Lakewood and Toms River. She is leading the charge for Faith Fellowship’s vision for a homeless shelter, The Reformation House, the first of its kind in Ocean County, to become a reality. As a community advocate, she is a member of The Ocean County Human Services Advisory Council, The Ocean County Human Services Legislative Advisory Council, Recovery Advocates for the Shore (RAFTS), NJ Coalition to End Homelessness, Homelessness Ended Through Local Partners (H.E.L.P.) and Clergy and People for Affordable Housing, and The InterFaith Fellowship of NJ. She is the founder of Project Y.E.S. (Youth Empowerment Services) a non-profit focused preparing at-risk youth for college or life by giving them the necessary skills to follow their path of choice.  Lisa holds a BA in English from Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga.

    Yolanda Stokes

Yolanda is currently a Neighborhood Ally Associate for the Southward Children's Alliance in Newark. In addition to being a proud single mom of two boys, Yolanda has dedicated her life to building stronger community engagement, anchoring herself as a “ground trooper.” She believes a child’s zip code should not determine their educational success so she works tirelessly to ensure that all children have access to high-quality educational options in their neighborhoods and that parents have a strong voice. Whether it is bridging the gaps between residents and the police force, advocating for equitable school funding, or learning and teaching CPR to other Newarkers, she is a driving force for growth and improvement throughout the city.
